Teams
may ask the Measurement Committee for both private
and public interpretations of the Class Rule to
ensure that any design innovations they come up
with are in accord with the Class Rule.
Generally, all questions result in public interpretations,
unless the nature of question is such that by making
it public an innovation would be revealed.
In that case, the interpretation remained private
until March 31 2006 and accordingly, CC Technical
Director Ken McAlpine circulated on 1 May 2006 to
the teams the 13 "Confidentials" previously issued.
