The Team :
McCaw originally presented his challenge as the OneWorld Challenge.
"One World" in the sense that they chose
the best sailors they could find regardless of national prejudice.

Budget
: The
downturn in the tech sector and the way it affected Craig
McCaw’s companies dramatically and reasonably
resulted in a cut back in expenditure but Paul Allen, listed
in Forbes as the "third richest man" just behind Bill
Gates and Larry Ellison, joins OWC last summer.
