It was a perfect day with sun and constant wind
of about 13-15 knots and Australian skipper James
Spithill, representing the Luna Rossa America's
Cup challenge, defeated Great Britain’s Ian
Williams 3-0 to claim the 6th Blurimini Match Race.
The win was Spithill's second in Rimini.
In the best-of-three petit-final, Polish Karol Jablonski
left nothing to chance and handily defeated italian
sailor Matteo Simoncelli three races to zero to
finish third.
