   Alinghi remains perfect (03/10/05)

(source : America's Cup)

Today's fight between the America's Cup defender and Emirates Team New Zealand was not a replay of the latter's race with BMW Oracle two days ago.

It was a fairly easy victory for Alinghi which was aided by the spinnaker problames the New Zealand team faced at the final leg of the race.

All other races finished in a more or less expected manner. Victory Challenge's performance was really encouraging while K-Challenge faced heavy technical difficulties, that forced them to lose after a very close race and abandon the match against Luna Rossa.

The French and Swedish challengers have now five points each. The last day of the Act may turn out to be the most interesting one, weather permitting, not only at the top of the score table but in the middle as well.
