Coutts claims Alinghi boss Ernesto Bertarelli has changed eligibility rules for the Cup in a deliberate bid to stop him racing for another team in Valencia in 2007.

Coutts left Alinghi last year after a falling out with Bertarelli. He is the first sailor to have his eligibility heard by the board.
