While the America's Cup has now
entered a phase of tranquility with some boats literally
"hibernating" in Valencia's Port America's Cup,
an unfortunate glitch in the canal construction
may slow down the rapid pace witnessed so far.
Apparently, a crack in the canal that will connect
Port America's Cup with the race course resulted
in seawater entering the dry area, ahead of schedule
of course.
Although, as seen from the photos below, the situation
is not as dramatic as it could first appear, works
will considerably slow down. Let's hope that all
will be ready by next May in order to experience
the best America's Cup racing ever.
