   Some news from Argentina (01/02/06)
  (source : Sailing Anarchy)

Juan Kouyoumdjian has made sensation, when at the beginning of the year he said that Argentina should have its own entry for America's Cup 33.

An idea gaining ground according to the Sailing Anarchy website which said that a project could be structured around a group of Argentinean sailors that have sailed the maxis Alexia and Matador.

Skipper and project manager of the Alexia Sailing Team (and now a member of the Oracle BMW racing Team as the helmsman of B boat according to the american website), Guillermo Parada should be "the best skipper and project leader that South American sailing has".

One thing is clear, Argentinean have gotten good enough that most of them are working for AC teams, not only in the sailing teams but also into the design and building areas.
