The Turin Mayor, Sergio Chiamparino, has confirmed the town's support to the "ideaArgo" project.

The aim of this venture, first of its kind, is the participation of an international team made of disabled sailors to the 2010 America's Cup.

Brazilian top professional sailor Lars Grael will be the skipper of "ideaArgo".

Lars, brother of former Luna Rossa tactician Torben, and winner of several Olympic medals, is still one of the top sailors in the world, despite having lost a leg during a regatta.

IdeaArgo was developed and sustained by local non profit associations SportDiPiù, which is very active in ntroducing disabled people to sports, and Giro di Chiglia yachting club, dealing with sailing activities for young people.

IdeaArgo has also obtained the Italian Navy Academy of Livorno, the Assonautica (marine division ofChamber of Commerce) and the Sailability Italia official sponsorship.
