As the ITA 90 is expected in, Luna
Rossa announced the inauguration of its ITA 86.
The new Mascalzone's boat has just left the shipyard
of Vittorio Urbinati's Marine Composite in Andora
(Savona) and is expected to arrive in Spain at the
Longitud Cero Composites of Castellon, where she
will be fitted out during the coming weeks.
The construction and fit out are lead by Ximo Lopez
and his technicians. The new boat is the design
of the Mascalzone Latino-Capitalia Team Design Group
led by Harry Dunning.
The official presentation of the new boat is scheduled
for the beginning of April.
Meanwhile, Carlo Croce, president of the Yacht Club
Italiano, speaking at a conference at the University
SDA Bocconi di Milano, said that the christening
of ITA 86, Luna Rossa's new boat, is scheduled for
March 22.
The christening will coincide with the inauguration
of the team's new base in Valencia.
