A new year and a new era started in Valencia's Port America's Cup.

The new canal that connects the inner basin of the port with the sea is partially open fand the first to use it are the fishermen that returned to the interior basin, only to be moved again when the works for the China Team base finally begin in a few days.

As one can clearly see from the photos, the canal still needs to be dredged in order to reach the adequate depth.

It now seems that despite the initial glitches and delays, Valencia's harbor will be radically transformed just on time to host the most exciting America's Cup racing.
