The rumours mills began to work (22/05/06)

If Larry Ellison said he wanted to continue, it's unimaginable that Chris Dickson, CEO and skipper, will hold such roles again.

As BMW Oracle Racing's base is presently locked down in debrief mode, the rumours mills began to work overtime regarding the name of the individual who will assume the responsibilities previously held by the New Zealander.

Today, the excellent Rule 69 website states that there's a strong rumour that Russell Coutts has already signed up for Larry's next tilt at the Cup with all the old pensioners at the heart of the Alinghi team.

The Magnus Wheatley's Website reported that another rumour surfacing that it was the measurers who forced Oracle to take something off the boat downstairs that they deemed illegal, that caused USA 98's poor performance in the semis.
