Victim of Areva Challenge's performances
and results in LV Act 13, Thierry Peponnet is no
longer tactician of the team.
It's been a hard end of campaign for the twice Olympic
medalist (in 470 dinghy) after, due to the results
of the 2006 Acts, he was forced to reverse his role
of skipper with Sébastien Col on July 6th.
The French boat tactician announced today that he
will step down from his position because he feels
an "important move" was needed in the
afterguard to counteract the team’s average results
in Valencia Louis Vuitton Act 13.
The Areva Challenge afterguard for Round Robin 1
of the Louis Vuitton Cup starting on Monday, will
see Sébastien Col at the helm, Tanguy Carriou as
tactician, Frédéric Guilmin as strategist and Jean
François Cuzon as navigator.
Thierry Peponnet will continue working with the
team alongside coach Fabrice Levet in performance
analysis.
