Just 24 hours after Victory Challenge's
SWE 96, China Team's CHN 95 is the last challenger
boat to be unveiled.
After intensive weeks of work, the technical team
has arrived at the end of the 3000 pieces of hardware
to install on the deck, composite work and reinforcements
on the interior of the boat. Installing the keel
and mast are anticipated during the coming days,
precluding launching and sailing outings.
The month of February will be fundamental for the
China Team. Above all, everyone will be happy to
get on the water after weeks of construction and
preparation of CHN 95 on shore, but at the same
time there is the stress of discovery.
Will this boat really be better than the previous?
Will it be reliable, easy to handle, competitive?
So many questions pass through the minds of the
crew, technicians, and architects.
After the first sailing trials, it will be the beginning
of the last phase of preparation before the start
of Act 13. For the first time, the team will have
a period of several weeks to develop the boat, know
its sailing characteristics and to train.
The race against the clock is on.
