Team Germany's French navigator Philippe Mourniac provided his analysis of the Team chances.

While every challenging team in the Louis Vuitton Cup seems filled with confidence of shining during the Louis Vuitton Cup, Team Germany expressed a singular realism.

"If we want to be objective, the right place for the German boat is not in semifinals", Philippe Mourniac said. "In fact, we are going to be in the middle of the field, considering that the game remains open between the first and the second of this middlefield and those which, on the contrary, will be in the bottom".

But, underdogs have already had a successful run during the past editions, so some surprises could be forthcoming.

"The first question that anyone asks is to know if one of the 'big three' could not be unpleasantly surprised", he added. "As the Spaniards seem to have slight advantage, our goal is to occupy the place 4, 5 or 6. What should be very good".

In fact, the German expect to win the America’s Cup. They are just not sure when it will happen.
