This year again, regatta field under Sustipan (Split, CRO) will host the match race of the first grade.

Today is the first day of the 21st ACI Match Race Cup which will host nine competitors.

Paolo Cian, currently third at the ISAF rankings, Eugeny Neugodnikov currently seventh, Björn Hansen also, two French crews Damien Iehl and Phillipe Presti, young Torvar Mirsky and Ian Ainslie.

This year Croatia will be represented by two crews, Dario Kliba ranking 36th by ISAF and Tonc'i Stipanovic', Cro-a-Sail's steersman, who at the last moment replaced Darko Hajdinjak because of his illness.

Other than the sailing competition, everything else concerning the regatta has been relocated to the dock of Sv. Nikola in front of the Harbour Master's Office. Opening ceremony will also be held there this evening.
